“The condition of being oneself or itself, and not another”

“Condition or character as to who a person or what a thing is”

“The state or fact of being the same as one described”

“The sense of the self, providing sameness and continuity in personality over time and sometimes disturbed in mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia”

The word identity comes from latin and means “the same”.

If we would live truthfully and follow our physical needs wouldn’t we then react instinctively and therefore constantly be in change? To find authenticity we first have to recognize that we are ephemeral and can never stay the same. To stay “the same” you have to condition your body and mind to act in line with the image you have created of your self. The image is only fictional, a result of your analytical thinking which is colored by social and monetary structures.

Clearly, identity doesn’t exist.
